instantly got ear-gasm and eye-gasm.
OH, MAN!

seriously, as the end result of a succession
after 9 years fan-girling, I WATCHED SORE's LIVE PERFORMANCE!!!
T'was just totally MAGNIFYING!!!

I got Sore's newest album, contains their selected tracks and one new song entitled "SSSST..."

I also took some photographs with 'em!
HEAVEN.........
Lemme hear you sing!
"...and I'm so GLAD you're mine..."

with Bang Ade.. :))

with Bang Awan.. :))
He noticed my Beatles' Hello-Goodbye Tees.
Thanks to dhimagine for giving me this bloody awesome tees FOR FREE :))
Bang Awan said, "KAOSNYA KEREN!"

IN THE LIMELIGHT!
with Bang Echa.. :))
He's undoubtedly kindhearted and very pretty yet soooooo extraordinarily handsome!!!

oh, those photos of my foolish-looking face!
what's being a truly lamentable state was that I couldn't have any chance to take another foolish-looking face with Bang Bemby..

I was on my 11th grade at that time, when I first peripherally listened to "Somos Libres". It was back in 2005, as I withdrew. I began to unconsciously sing the song by no means. It turned out to me that I soon began savoring the song's radically distinctive ambiance and conspicuous harmony.
ATM, we still had MTv on the national television channel. I ran into this video clip of "Somos Libres" and I found out that Sore was the band behind those pleasingly music.
I started to request "Somos Libres" in one of capitalistic youth-segmented radio in Solo. Even one of the radio DJ noticed me since I always requested the same song. One evening, (Wednesday, October 25th, 2006) my ex surprisingly came to my house bringing me a bouquet of red roses and Sore's very first album, "CENTRALISMO"

MUEHEHE, I used to call him, "My Bxx" :P

SORE - Indonesian Indie Band Symphonizing Oldie Goldie Pop Sound

from my own way of regarding topics, as a common people who don't really perceive and comprehend the nature and significance of musicality, I was simply being hypnotized by Sore's euphony. Sore is a Jakarta-based indie band that is totally unique and outstanding. They classify their music genre as "Indonesiana Rock Revival" and I don't really get it. Their musical variety is just indescribable. It's exceptionally beyond a kind of sort; they are one of a kind, at least for me. LOL.

They are heavily influenced by The Beatles, Morrissey, Steely Dan, Interpol, Gino Vannelli, Frank Zappa, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, Procol Harum, America, Paul Simon, Burt Bacharach, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Ludwig van Beethoven, Masaru Satoh, Krzysztof Komeda, Michael Franks, Gil Evans. Enriched by similarly obsecure harmony from  Eggstone, Andrew Bird, Arcade Fire, Badly Drawn Boy, Last Shadow Puppets, Beirut, The Wondermints.

Their music is a pleasing combination of elements in a whole which is adorned by any melodious strings and brass instruments. Sore comprises 4-main members who are all multi-instrumentalist and are able to play their guitars and bases left-handed-ly. Some of them deliberately claimed their-selves ambidextrous. (I can't remember, either Ade, Echa, Awan, or Ade and Echa, or Awan and Echa, haha, nervermind). All of the members take part as vocalist, too. To a very great extent, it's so obviously mind-blogging having different vocals divulging different tones wrapped in one album. PERPLEXING!

SORE's first album received mostly critical receptions. The Time Magazine Asia admitted the existence of 'CENTRALISMO' as "One of Five Asian Albums Worth Buying", and ranked number 40 in "150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time" in the Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine. Their second album entitled 'PORTS OF LIMA' (Aksara Records - 2008) got great critical acclaim. It was voted "Best Album of 2008' (number one) by the Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine.

Sore, first renowned.

from left to right: Bemby Gusti Pramudya, Ade Firza Paloh, Awan Garnida, Ramondo Gascaro, and Reza Dwiputranto. Additional player: Dono Firman.

Sore, nowadays.

Mondo left the band to concentrate on his own project.

my favorite tracks:

*Centralismo*
Mata Berdebu
Somos Libres
No Fruits for Today
Etalase
Lihat

*Ports of Lima*
Bogor Biru
Senyum dari Selatan
ESSENSIMO
Setengah Lima
Vrijeman
Apatis Ria
Karolina

IMHO, Sore is not merely a band; it's a cult. It's my object of such devotion. It serves me that kind of disposition, a strong feeling; implies some control over my own thinking, actions, and emotions.

 udah ah, cape!
yuk mari, ngopi!
wassalam!

Jesua :))

MUEHEHE.
ladies and gentlemen, here I introduce you, the super cool lad i have ever met!
please welcome....
Mario J E S U A Saptodiharjo <3 span="">

he is on the third grade now. geez, this kid is just so extremely adorable and lovable, especially in a childlike or naive way. yesterday i was teaching in his class. he was sitting on a desk opposite the teacher's desk. out of a sudden, he said something jaw dropping to me. "you know what miss? I look awe-so-handsome with this undercut hairstyle, miss!" i was like, "OH WOW." and bursting laugh out loud. :P

soon afterwards, he was about to go to Sundanese Martial Arts class when he uttered something, well i don't know, kinda pathetic but it was quite witty for him. in the martial arts class, all students should take off their shoes and socks. i stood right in front of him and accidentally saw him wearing a kinda ethnic foot-bracelet. i asked him why he wore that bracelet even though he knew wearing accessories is just for girls. he refused to take off the bracelet and said to me -- he wanted to inform me something which he doesn't consider as a secret, anymore, at least -- "this bracelet is a souvenir from my father, miss. my parents have separated. they divorced." as he giggled.

c o m p l e t e  s i l e n c e.

 (((BLAAAAAAAAARRR)))

i was slightly shocked knowing that bitter fact. out of the blue, he said (((again))) "Louis parents' divorced as well, miss!" oh God, what happened to these dazzlingly beautiful little lads... at their totally young age, they have to face hardships that they can't even bear.
but still, you will always have a special place in my heart, kid. you have successfully stunned me, bloody little gorgeous! :))

cool-MEW-nation :))

H A P P Y  M E W  D A Y

for frengers all over Indonesia!!!

it was the MEW-est day we have been waiting for long. it was a final climactic stage when MEW ultiMEWtely came to see us in person for the fourth times (? - citation needed - wikipedia mode: on. LOL). at the core stake, i'd like to praise the almighty TWITTER, for making us tweeted not only craps but also spreading glorious news about Mew's upcoming shows.

I remembered the day when I came across a tweet saying that Mew had confirmed their show in Indonesia. it was a lame and dull afternoon. i was in my homie lil townie, spending my summer break (ahelahh :P) I just couldn't believe my own eyes! was it real? man! been 3 years since their last show in Kenjeran, Soerabaia! i dashed to my room and immediately texted my partner in criMEW. Angela Dias. WOOHOO! we're gonna throw a parteeeeeeehh! I bought the presale ticket on the day as it was tweeted by @SoundRhytm if i'm not mistaken it was on 27th of June '13. i could only say to myself, "Geez, seriously, it'll be like waiting for forever until October 26th! Man!"

counting down the days until October 26th wasn't as easy as I thought. periods of positive and negative events, moods or interactions happened. the best and the worst. even the worst mare. the bitter and the sweet. Tinged with sadness. it was an interval like a movie with a bittersweet ending. i flew too high, way too high and when I fell down, it hurt me so much. filled with disregard. instilled with an abrupt change of my image. well, we made mistake once in a while, righty? July ran smoothly, August was scummy. September was quite somber. OK-tober? it's the time to say OK to every single thing!

the D day has arrived, I could barely wait to go to the venue. the day before, one of my fellow frengers informed me that there'll be a meet and greet session with MEW and d'nassivep. I couldn't make it, alas. it was my office hour and I couldn't go anywhere. other frengers started posting their photos with MEW members. oh how lucky you guys are! so happy for yahh :))

things didn't go as i've planned. some senior teachers impelled me to go their party far far away in cisauk, gosh! seriously! i wouldn't be able to catch a train to jakarta! crapcrapcrap. i was off to jakarta like at 5, and the traffic was MENTAL! it took me an hour to go from BSD to Alam Sutra, which is only 5 or 7 km. i was so desperate at that moment. the tix would be expired at 7 pm. i thought i wouldn't make it..........

it was app 7.30 when I arrived. the queue line was way awful. we lined up. right at our back stood two female bules. they looked confuse. one of them finally asked me, "mba, maaf, bisa bahasa inggris?" i just surprised and giggled. they are kate from england and angela from US. they're exchange students embarking their bachelor degree on socio-culture at UNES Semarang. they came all the way from Semarang to watch One Republic. they even asked me "who is MEW? Indonesian band?" oh well.. =______= "they're Danish.." i bet they never heard of it before, they're quite 'mainstream'. hehe.

we entered the venue at 8.30 pm. we missed club 8 but that's ok, since i only knew two songs of club 8, which are 'Whatever you want' and 'I would never' :P to my surprise, One Republic was outstanding. they had a marvelous live performance. fyi, i just noticed that Ryan Tedder is OneRep's vox soon before i went to Guinness Arthur's Day :P muehehe.. his vocal's got constant stability.high pitch and was just awesome. he's quite communicative, tho. he even said two impeccable things about Jakarta: it was quite beautiful, and the traffic was just crazy. he never saw motorcycles raced all over the place, in between cars, even on pavements! he also made funny gestures about this. he said Penne, Italy, shares the same typical of motorcycle riders like we have in Jakarta. :D

my watch showed 11.00 pm as the end result of a succession, when MEW's performed. The crowd was right under the spell of "Making Friends", "Special" and "The Zookeeper's Boy" and the rest of the set list I could hardly remember since I was busy ENJOYING ONE OF THE MOST PRECIOUS TIME IN MY WHOLE LIFE. since that time, i have decided to be a full time LIFE ENJOYER. ;))

*oh and by the way, I got editted this post and found a picture of MEW setlist live @ GAD. courtesy of @indofrengers :))

Ghirlanda ;))

Hey, helloooooooo there! It's been quite a while.. :)) The bumpy road has passed but it successfully left marks on my bare feet. Anyway, let's just get rid of those craps a-WHILE..

Her name is Ghirlanda (I forget to ask her fullname, geez!) She's a half Indonesian and a half German. She's pretty and cute like daffodils.. I like spending time with her talking drips and draps :))

Here's one silly and backstabbing little convo with her this afternoon when she was about to finish her lunch..

Miss Nissa : Hai G! How're you?

Gie            : I'm fine. Miss, ngomongnya pake bahasa Indonesia aja ya? aku soalnya.. umm.. aku susah bahasa Inggrisnya.. hihihi *giggling*

Miss Nissa : Oh, oke.. Gie bawa bekal apa hari ini?

Gie             : Aku bawa stroberi, Miss.. *munching her strawberries*

Miss Nissa  : Wahh, cepet juga makannya Gie, buru-buru?

Gie             : Iya Miss, *cleaning her mouth and neaten her lunch box* Miss, aku mau pergi dulu ya..

Miss Nissa : Loh, mau kemana, Gie?

Gie             : Aku mau ketemu temenku dulu Miss! Dia lagi patah hati, ditinggal sama pacarnya!

Miss Nissa : *WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS KID TALKING ABOUT??!!!!*

Gie            : Itu tuh Miss, namanya Maxine! Udah ya Miss, dadahh *waving her hand*

Miss Nissa : Oh crap, what is this all about? *swore and LOL-ing*

*ACCESS CREWS

all of a sudden, the memory of me and one of my best, @widayaniutami strikes back. in mid 2007, when we WERE freshmen, *HAHAHA, I still remember how did it feel, tho* we were so curious about the room 512. we saw many cool guys went in and out :P we decided to take a sneak peek into that 'sacred room' WHALLA! they were having a meeting, apparently, i thought to myself. wida and I crouched behind the door and quietly whispered, "one day, we don't know when, we'll be ONE OF THEM!" thank goodness we definitely made it. MADE IT. It was a bolt from the blue to us. :))

Thank you so mucho macho, Access English Department's Magazine UKSW, for every lesson I learned.

Love,

Nissa '07130

*Fyi, this photo has been a controversy regarding the improper pose I showed. It was quite a matter since we'd use this as our identity as 'PRESS'. LOL. xD
